New Applicants
New liquor license applicants must first complete a Police Department background check, which requires a $500 processing fee (this fee does not apply to renewals). It’s recommended to meet with the Village Administrator before beginning the process to review the ordinance, discuss license limits, and the proposed location. Once the background check is completed successfully, applicants can submit their liquor license application, which will be reviewed by the Mayor (Liquor Commissioner) and the Board for approval.
Renewals
Existing license holders receive renewal forms annually, typically in mid-March. No background check fee is required for renewals.
