The Village of Elburn Parks Commission, in partnership with the Town & Country Public Library, is excited to announce that game kits are now available to borrow for the new permanent games area at Prairie Park! Stop by the library’s front desk to check out:

- Cornhole bags
No library card needed—just your name and phone number. Bring friends, family, and enjoy the new space during regular park hours!

The Parks Commission’s Concert in the Park summer series runs from May to September at Prairie Park. The series brings live music and community fun to the park throughout the summer.
The Movie in the Park series also runs from May to September, offering another fun evening of outdoor entertainment for residents and families to enjoy.
Concerts are generally held on the third Friday of each month (except August due to Elburn Days) and movies on the fourth Friday.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket, gather your friends and family, and join the Parks Commission for great entertainment at Prairie Park this summer!

Elburn Days is our community’s largest event, held annually the third full weekend of August. The Elburn Days Parade steps off at 6 p.m. from the intersection of Gates Street and Shannon Street and proceeds east to Main Street (Route 47), then south along Main Street to South Street, and then turns west to end at Lions Park. Kick off Elburn Days weekend with Run the Rails! Held annually on the Saturday of Elburn Days, this unique community race experience offers something for all ages and abilities with a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, 4-Mile Run, and 7-Mile Run — all beginning and ending at Prairie Park (3rd & North Street, near the library).
What makes Run the Rails special? Each course crosses over the Union Pacific West rail line via the Anderson Road bridge, giving participants scenic views of Elburn and the surrounding countryside along the way.
Whether you're racing for a personal best, enjoying a family walk, or simply looking for a fun way to spend a summer morning, join us in supporting the Elburn Parks Commission and celebrating community, fitness, and local pride during one of Elburn’s favorite summer traditions.

On the eleventh day of the eleventh month at the eleventh hour, the Elburn community pauses to remember our veterans. The annual observance is held at the American Legion Post 630 building at 112 North Main Street. For more information contact the Elburn American Legion Post 630 at (630) 365-6530.
