Profile

Megan Mussano is a newly elected member of the Elburn Village Board, committed to fostering a strong sense of community and supporting purposeful, responsible growth in Elburn.

A proud resident of Elburn for over 10 years, Megan is often seen around town with her twins, actively participating in local events and organizations. She has been a dedicated volunteer with the Kaneland School District and serves as a local Girl Scout leader, further reflecting her passion for youth and community involvement.

Originally from Batavia, Megan developed a deep love for the far western suburbs and plans to make Elburn her home well into retirement — though that’s still a long way off.

Professionally, Megan is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and track coach with West Aurora School District. She also serves as an adjunct instructor in the Special Education Department at Aurora University. Megan earned her undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University and holds a Master of Science from Purdue University.

Elected to the Village Board in 2025, Megan is motivated to help keep Elburn a welcoming, vibrant place to live, work, and play for generations to come.
